The Fight Night at the Mediterranean was successful with quite a turn out from the members of the diplomatic core senior government officials and kickboxing and martial arts enthusiasts.

The night started with a Karate Kata Demonstration, then stand up comedy , followed by an aikido demonstration.

There were also exhibition bouts for Dambe and kokowa traditional wrestling

The First bout was the African Title bout between Ejike Okwor of Nigeria and

ANTIBE ZANGER ADALBERT of Cameroon for the -81kg Full Contact African Title bout Antibe Won 2-1 becoming the WKA African title holder for the -81 kg PRO-AM African title.

Next was a self defense demonstration by the Kickboxing and Karate team, and a musical performance by upcoming Nigerian acts.

The next bout was the WKA National title bout for the -75kg Full contact National title between Nigerian Army officer  Olakunle Awoyele and Akwa Ibom states Victor Bassey a very Tough fight that ended in a unanimous decision with Olakunle Awoyele of the Nigerian Army winning the bout to become Nigerias first National -75kg Full Contact Champion in the Pro-Am division.

Then there was the fashion show by the Su2rah fashion label who dazzled the crowd with the beautiful attires and models.

Despite the light rain showers everyone waited for the rains to stop for the bouts to continue , then there was a Free style Wrestling exhibition bout.

The Third bout was an African title bout between Nigerias Akeem Sadiku and Cameroons Akama Oyono for the K1 Max African Title Nigerias Akeem Sadiku won by a technical knockout in the second round, to become African Champion in K1 max

The final bout was the World title bout between Ukraines Valentyna Gupalo and Nigerias Hellen Jospeh a very keenly contested bout Hellen Joseph came through with a lot of kicks and punches in the first round then Valentyna Gupalo came on stronger in the second, and the 3rd round winning the Hellen Joseph 2-1 to become the WKA Pro-Am World World Champion in the -65kg weight class.

This will be the first of several fight nights that will be held across Nigeria to promote Nigerian and African fighters in various combat sports to bring them on the same pedestal with their counterparts in Europe America and Asia , Combat sports promotions promoters of the event in conjunction with the World kickboxing Association and the Kickboxing Federation of Nigeria has promised more World title bouts in Nigeria in months to come, and more shows to give Nigerians the opportunity to enjoy a new form of entertainment where we fuse combat sports and entertainment for that unique blend of show business.
